Nottinghamshire Blood Bikes
Nottinghamshire Blood Bikes is a Charity (Registered in England & Wales No 1155983) set up by volunteers in 2013 to provide an out-of-hours emergency transport service to the NHS, to deliver blood and other urgent medical supplies such as platelets, plasma, samples and medical records between hospitals and blood transfusion banks primarily, but not exclusively, in Nottinghamshire.In critical situations, blood or other medical items need to be delivered urgently in order to help save a patient’s life. Our vehicles, with their distinct Hi-Viz livery, can quickly but safely get through heavy traffic to reach the destination sooner.We also support the provision of donor breast milk, collecting from mothers across our region and delivering to Milk Banks, and subsequently delivering the treated, frozen milk back to our local hospitals – a vital service for the well-being of premature babies.We rely solely on our volunteers time, private donations and corporate sponsors to keep us rolling and, in return, saving the NHS thousands of pounds in transport costs so that more money can be directed to front-line services and patient care.Please consider a small donation to help us save lives.

ELVASTON CASTLE
After an unforgettable debut last year that attracted thousands of visitors to Elvaston Castle & Country Park and exceeded every expectation, Derby MotorFeast is back for 2026 - bigger, better and even more exciting!
On Sunday 26th July 2026, the stunning grounds of Elvaston Castle will once again transform into a paradise for motoring enthusiasts and families alike.
Expect an incredible showcase of brand new car models, along with hundreds of cherished classics - from bikes and lorries to fire engines and military icons - all proudly displayed across the main event field.
Beyond the wonderful vehicles, Derby MotorFeast is designed to be a full days experience for all ages. Whether it's children enjoying rides and entertainment, adults soaking in live music and arena parades or families discovering something new around every corner, there's something here for everyone - set against the breathtaking backdrop of the country park.
We're also delighted that the RAF have granted us a flypast again this year by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight!
Entry to the show on foot is completely FREE!
Parking fees are £10 per car with all passengers FREE of charge.

Last week our riders as well as many others, rode from Forest Recreation to Mansfield Town FC to honour the memory of Nigel Osler who tragically lost his life in an RTC 3 years ago. We unveiled our newest named bike, 'Nige. This has been named in Nigel's memory to reflect his passion for biking, as well as his intentions to volunteer with NBB once he retired. On the back of this, we implore all road users to please 'LOOK TWICE, SAVE A LIFE': So many people, but most especially riders needlessly suffer injuries or sadly lose their lives on the roads every year. Please remember, everyone has a home to go to. A family to return home to. Tomorrow marks the 3rd anniversary of Nigel’s tragic passing, and we are proud to be escorting Nigel’s family from Forest Recreation Ground to Mansfield Town FC.
We’d love to see as many people there as possible to help us remember Nigel and show our support for his family.
If you’re not taking part in the ride, you’re very welcome to join us at the One Call Stadium, where we’ll take some time to reflect together. We are also honoured that the Deputy Lord Lieutenant will be joining us to unveil a bike named in Nigel’s honour.

Last week we swapped the usual routine for the open road and headed to the coast for a well-earned ride out! 🌊🏍️
At NBB, the work we do is serious and important, which makes days like these even more valuable. It’s a chance to unwind, catch up with fellow riders, and enjoy some well deserved fish & chips and ice cream by the sea🍦
