Deputy Chair & Trustee
I joined NBB 9 years ago as a controller. My current role is Deputy Chair and I am also a Trustee. I help with the mentoring of new Controllers and look after the paperwork required for all our clients we collect from. There has been too many memorable moments to mention but I can say it is never boring. I enjoy working alongside a great bunch of people that give their time freely to keep NBB operating to support the NHS. I still work full time but I manage to fit my work for NBB around my job

I am secretary and trustee of Nottinghamshire Blood Bikes. In my role I assist with all areas of our voluntary work including liaising with our NHS partners, onboarding of new members and outreach and education about our Charity to the public.
An NBB memory which is special to me, is presenting our blood bike to the family of Ian Coates at the Nottingham Forest Ground in 2024.
In my day job I am a private client solicitor dealing with Court of Protection matters, advising charities and dealing with the creation and administration of trusts.

I serve as the Social Media Manager for Nottinghamshire Blood Bikes, where I bring our charity’s mission to life online ,raising awareness, celebrating impact, and inspiring community engagement.
A particularly meaningful moment was our participation in the Grace O’Malley Kumar ride out, honouring the life of an extraordinary young woman.
Beyond NBB, I work as a Senior Substance Abuse Practitioner, supporting individuals in overcoming addiction and building safer, more hopeful futures. Above all, I’m a proud mum to a brilliant little boy whose name might just appear on one of our mini bikes.

The job is very varied and interesting and I enjoy meeting new people. I also enjoy working alongside likeminded people that all give their time freely to keep NBB operating to support the NHS. I still work full time in my own business but I manage to fit my volunteering for NBB around my work and home life.

Rob Fletcher
Fleet Manager - 4 Wheels
I have been a NBB bike rider for 4 years and recently been asked to be a 4-wheel fleet manager. A role that took me by surprise
I wanted to volunteer for NBB as I’m a keen biker.
I have used the NHS services as a kid from skateboard and bmx injuries to motorbike and thought I need to give something back
Outside of Blood Bikes, I’m a business partner at our garage in Calverton. It’s a full-on job and give as much time I can to NBB I also help when needed with repairs to cars and bikes
The ride out for Grace ride will stay with me for long time . The way both rides where done was so professional.
I do loads of big rides and this one was special.
